Observations

I've lost 0.6 kgs this week, so that's a nice observation.

I also observed a deliciously big jump in bank account land, as the first work based deposit for three long months appeared. Thank heavens, stability is back. At no time was I destitute, but not knowing just how long your money has to last is never a good thing.

We observed a beautiful charcoal modular lounge suite at Myer last week, so it's being delivered on Saturday. (That statement really negates my last comment about getting paid!)

But a strange observation - people all of a sudden seem to think it's okay to chat to me while I'm in the bathroom. Like, not just at the basin, but whilst in cubicle usage situations. What's with that? I would just love to pretend that the whole digestion procedure doesn't exist, so it's strange to be engaging in witty banter with colleagues whilst trying to imagine that I'm anywhere else.

Geebus, I've managed to write about two things I usually hate to discuss - money, and bodily functions. Looks like this blog has taken a turn for the worse! Eh, Dooce is the land of backdoor observations, and Heather's a gem, so at least I'm in good company*.

*Please do not think that in any way am I comparing myself to Heather - she's a bloggy goddess, and I am a humble minion.

Teeny tiny progress

I lost 0.1 kgs this week - obviously nothing to rave about, but no drama either.
I'm glad that I've lost more centimetres everywhere, that's the real sign of increased smallness. I'm also feeling a lot fitter and stronger, and am achieving fantastic scores with my PS2 PT sessions, so that's another plus... I'm getting to the end of my twelve week program, so I'm wondering whether to add some running again... oh, it is such an effort, but I get real value out of it - I just have to take care of my knees by keeping on grassed areas.

Nothing to celebrate this week, and now that I have a routine established, I should see better numbers next Monday.
I am already dreading the week of Bec's hen's celebrations - a tour of Melbourne's best chocolatey destinations, followed with many flirtinis at mum and dad's house. I am taking crudites, to encourage myself (and others) to break up the fats and sugars with something nutritious.

But will my willpower last when the chocolates are laid out in front of me? Time will tell.

Emptyhead

This week I am acting as though I sold my brain to gypsies.

Last night I left my wallet in Stu's car. And we realised long after I left this morning.
Of course tonight is a tafe night, and I will be needing to buy some kind of meal, so that I don't starve to death between lunch today, and breakfast tomorrow.

So I'm driving from Brighton, to Mulgrave, and then on to Frankston. I have to do this within an hour and a half, in peak hour, hopefully including a visit to a sushi vendor (to procure the all important dinner).

I never make things easy for myself, do I?
