Update
I've streamlined the links section, to pages that are actually updated occasionally (how hypocrytical!).
I guess the reason for the delay in blogging is that my life is mostly about the wedding now. However, I want to put all of that on the other blog - but the other blog hasn't been updated because we wanted to post about Bec's wedding with pictures. And getting our hands on many of those in a digital format has been near impossible.
So I'll just talk about it here, and then polish it up for Altar Bound.
Hmmmm, where to start? Location.
We originally had planned to have our wedding at a venue called Bram Leigh. I can't really say why - it seemed like a good idea at the time.
But I've become fiercely proud of the Mornington Peninsula over the last year, and it just didn't make any sense to hold the event anywhere else. So we're marrying in Mornington at a quaint little church, and celebrating in Red Hill, at Lindenderry.
We've lost the deposit on Bram Leigh, but I could justify that loss, knowing what we would gain.
This means that I can have my hair styled by my usual hairdresser, use the services of my favourite florist, and most importantly, spend my last night as a single person at my parent's house. To go to Bram Leigh we were resigned to staying overnight locally the night before, and it all felt wrong.
Not to mention that Lindenderry is far more beautiful than Bram Leigh, with lush, natural gardens to pose in.
Also, we probably wouldn't have wedding cars, because the whole thing was on the same site. Now we're having a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, and the bridal party will travel in a Daimler Limousine, both exquisitely black.
That's more like it!
